I guess the powers that be have decided to bring more water down than usual.  A great portion of the new channel cannot be used because the water will be right up to where the boats are expected to tie down.  No or almost no sand showing usless they decide to drop it a bit of which I doubt.  And secondly if you had planned on going up to the "Sand Bar" you will need waders to be down.  Right now the water level must be 3 1/2 feet above the sand line.  No hanganging around "the Sand Bar" either.
