Im in Tucson. Im taking the motorhome over to the transmission place tmw so they can troubleshoot the noise. This is a long story....apparently, the guy's mech was flushing the tranny fluid and messed up and somehow blew out the seals. So the guy puts a rebuilt 727tf in. Then the mech doesn't tighten the bolts in the carrier bearing and the drive shafts came unglued on the road. So at this point Im not sure what the noise is that Im hearing. I heard a bunch of different possibilities. One was that 727tf in a motorhome has a bearing in the tailshaft that could have been jacked up when everthing came loose. At any rate Im going to let these guys look at it I don't know where I'll go fm there.

Sleek & GFR, thanks for the eng parts info. I ve been looking at Summit. GFR - I saw that you had asked somebody what kind of timing chain they installed due to several cheap makes. Who makes a good timing chain??

Just left the tranny shop they are going to tear the tail section off. They think its the output shaft bearing. that is good news. Cheaper than a rebuild.

I do all my own stuff so I can't speak from experience but I've heard a lot of bad shit about Cottmans Sounds like some dick lost one of the bellhousing bolts and just stuck the first one he found(which was too long) and stuffed it in there Or there's something that's supposed to be held on with that bolt and it never got put back!..
