Just guessing here but doesn't the computer have something to do with the cluster readings including the tach?? I know when my '02 fuel guage would fluctuate from full to empty and everthing in between they replaced the complete cluster.
Just thinking out load here.

I have been told that the autometer tach for diesel applications is not as accurate as it should be. I really dont know I have never used one on a diesel. The same guy told me that the pickup the tach used also quit working more than once. I called a place here in Tucson yesterday and the place CE recommended and they both said they can fix it, I am going to go that route this time. |
Well the tach don't know what it's on, it has to be the electronics that it's connected to not giving a good signal!..
