Changed mine out this weekend, not the easiest one I've ever done lets just say I have a few left over parts
Also found out why my heater was blowing very warm, the previous owners had bypassed the rear heater core and when they did that they had it so water was in the core but not circulating. So by running hoses direct to the core my toes are all nice and toasty now. Nice simple fix

the new dodge blower has just a few screws and it drops right out of the dash.... the selector door (floor to defrost) BROKE...
and its an 06' Ram.... i'm starting to wonder if it was built on a Monday....?
so far so good... 12345 miles on the clock. but i LUV that Diesel... and 22mpg. and a big sack.
So I have a quetion for ya?
Did you start to get better gas mileage as you put miles on the engine? Some people are telling me that I will see more mileage later. I get about 18 on the freeway now.
Never Trust Anyone That Talks Too Fast.... They are hoping you miss something!
I'm still getting about 18+ on mine, i got better in the lower altitudes but what your hearing about putting miles on a cummins or diesel in general, is 20-30K... i mean LOTS of miles, just to get them BROKE IN.
So, the best way to get to the better mileage, is to load it up and find the biggest long hill and floor it... or drive it for 30 hours straight with as much load as you can get on it.
the mileage will get better 22+ depending on gears. i've heard of 25 and up... (dodgeforum) they have a brew of additives to get better mileage too... i havent tried it... i'm just happy to have the sacko' nutz and pulling power. pulling 18K and getting 15mpg over a 2400 mile trip. thats way better that 4mpg with a gasser, and smokin a tranny.
