Is the pic hosted already?  If so, there's a place in your control panel to paste in the URL.  If it's not hosted, you can upload it in your control panel as well. :)

Here's a more specific answer:

A) If the pic is already hosted:

>"Your Control Panel"
>"Personal Info"
>"Avatar Options"
>add the URL next to "Your avatar". Don't worry about the dimension settings.
>"Add my own image as my avatar"

B) If the pic is on your hard drive:

>"Your Control Panel"
>"Personal Info"
>"Avatar Options"
>"Browse" under "Upload your own Avatar"

C) If all else fails, email the pic to me at doug at havasudoug dot com.
