Anybody out there had any dealings with Temecula Marine Center or the former Land and Sea Marine (I understand they are one in the same)? I went down there and the wrench turner there was the coolest guy in the world until I asked about his level of experience with hi-perf. boats and for local references. Zero to prick in 2 seconds flat!!! Just curious. I heard a rumor that the mechanic/co-owner (Mike Smith) may have worked for Commander at one time. Any feedback or information that anybody might have would be a great help. With an attitude like his I can't see them staying in business much longer... too bad.

I usually hire people off of the forums to do mechanical work that I'm unable to do.  I've found that it is cheaper, quicker, and honest reliable work. :good   EVERYONE that owns a boat is always looking to make a few extra $$ . :D

Well, I'm thinking that I need to swap motors over between the V-Drive and the Jet.  The motor that's in the V-Drive came out of a Jet, the motor that's in the Jet came out of a V-Drive.  Actually, the motor that's currently in my Jet is the same one that came with my Biesemeyer when I originally purchased it the first time.  I took it out of the B Boat when I built an SS motor for it.  Then I sold the B Boat with the SS motor to Chad Crowder down in Phoenix.  Funny thing though, the guy who I purchased the boat from originally lives 3 blocks away from Chad.  Smal World :D

Of course, If you (GFR) were to head down for Fathers Day or something, and if I still have the Biesemeyer Flatbottom, I'd probably be willing to pay ya to run around in it and adjust everything (Cav plates, propshaft if needed to add nickels, etc etc).  See, there ya go...free trip for Father's day :good  :D  :laugh  And a boat to run as long and as hard as ya want to boot!  What more could ya ask for? ;)

Quality Marine in Corona has a good rep if that's the area you're in.

Thanks for the tip. Steve over at Designer Interior in Corona referred them. I checked the place out and was pretty impressed with the facility and the skill level/number of years of experience those guys have. Another plus was they readily offered a list of references allowing me to choose.  :good
