What file type are they saving as, if they are saving as bmp files they won't show up in a jpeg format. In the drop down box under the file name you should be able to select all file types and it should show up then. bmp files are huge by the way convert them to jpegs if you can. Also when your saving the pic you can sometimes change the file type as you are saving it.

You could run a search for the file name and it will show you where the file was saved to :stupid  :break  ;)

I've had the same problem a few times in the past and I got around it, and you're gonna laugh, copying the pic to my mail and e-mailing it to myself. Once there, I could do anything I wanted with it. Weird; huh? :stupid

AZKC, when I R-click and save as I gave it a name and it made a icon looking pic in my pictures but when I doub-click that icon thats when I get the message no pic available. Ive tried it with pics off of this board, off other sites and from the software that my D-camera pics load too. Cant get anything to actually show a picture once I send it to my pictures. :break

You didn't fock anything up, in your image program go to your "File Associations" and hit "Select All", as default only certain files are checked off and if you try and save a file that the program don't recognize you won't see it!...

A lot of pics on the net are in .bmp format and they suck and you can't change the file when you save it from the net. So just save it to your desktop(or wherever you want it)then open your image program and open the file, then resave the pic, now you can change it to .jpeg you don't have to change the file name either unless you want to, then you can go back and delete the .bmp file, quick and simple deal!.. :)  :good
