I have a rare 1965 4 bolt 425 hp SHP 060 block that i stumbled on trying to build a motor for my jetboat. I did not know what it was till the machine shop told me........casting #3855962 I did my research and found out it original.... So im asking $2,000. It is in the machine shop getting new cam bearings tanked and honed, then i will have pics I have seen this block go as high as $3,950 on another site. And yes a Block, i still cant believe it.......... This is a good block for that chevelle, camaro, or vette you are trying to restore

Ok, first it's "BHP"(Brake Horse Power)not SHP and it's a 396 and it's 375 BHP, it was rated 425 BHP in the Corvette "only"(Why, I don't know it was the same motor). It came in 2 models, the L-78 and L-89!. The L-78 came with closed chamber iron heads!. The L-89 was a limited production deal with closed chamber aluminum heads, and I believe it was available only in the Camaro and ChevyII!..
3855962....396.......65-66...4-bolt
I can get a brand new Dart block shipped to my door for $2000!. Thank you Barrett-Jackson for fockin up the whole Hot Rodding world!..
But best of luck selling it!..
