I have been wondering if anyone has any experience with Fusion Speakers. Or what do you think the best speaker for a marine application is. We have to have a speaker that is at least 150W RMS and 175-200 PEAK. Would like to see a Peak of about 250 for the protection. Over the last three two seasons we have smoked 3 sets or 4 and just finished another set. So we are looking to replace the speakers with something that will hold up to the power and elements. Please give me any advice you might have price and online store would also be okay.

Sorry bro, I have only seen their adds in mags and don't have enough info on them to really give any advise. I did notice that they are very inexpensive speakers for the quality and power handling that they claim.....
As far as marine speakers go, you're not going to find a many standard 12volt speakers that are of good sound and quality that are reasonably priced within your paramaters much less a marine speaker that has an RMS rating for as high as you want.
To name a few speakers I would recommend looking at are:
Infinity 693.5i 3way Infinity 692.5i 2way JBL P953 3way Alpine SPS690a 3way JL Audio VR690cxi Boston Acoustics NX97 Boston Acoustics RM9 Pioneer TSD690R MB Quart DKC169 MB Quart RCE269
Chances are that any of the above speakers are of better quality than the Fusion stuff eventhough they handle less power....
What amp(s) are you running and in what configuration?

Roz,
Thanks for the reply, we actually have several acustik (spelling error) amps, but we also have some older PPI amps. We are running one 10 on one 1000W amp. Then we want to wire 4-6X9s and 2-6.5 on another amp. We are not sure what amp we are going to use yet for the 2-ways. I think Dave (boat owner) has actually just purchased a new amp. I will have to find out what it is. I had just read some good things about Fusion and was wondering. Do you suggest any particular online store to purchase some of the speakers you have mentioned? If we could find some good speakers we wouldn't mind spending more. We have just had terrible luck with replacing them each year. Now that gets expensive.

One last questions then; Do you own a audio place that sells marine components and speakers? If so, then how do I contact you to place an order?
