Well, I busted the LCD screen on my Nikon Coolpix 7.1mp digital... jumping in/out of boats taking pictures for the website.
I'm gonna see if it can be repaired...cost like $180 new. Â Prolly not worth it...
I'm a "film guy" at heart, and would love to go full Digital SLR, but can quite justify the price(yet)... What you say is the best "bang for the buck" out there in digital cameras... Â
Thanks...!! Â

Hey Gary, just caught this one.
We, er, my wife has a Canon digital Rebel. I gave it to her three years ago and it's one of the best cameras we/she/us ever owned.
I got it primarily because it takes the same lens' as the Canon film camera we have.
I did just a good deal on 2, 7.1 mp Canon powershot A570 IS cameras for the kids. Under $150 on-line, free shipping and no tax.
It's a fact of Life:
After Monday and Tuesday, even the Calendar says : WTF .......

The PowerShot SX100 IS features a 10x optical zoom lens with optical Image Stabilizer, 8.0 Megapixel image sensor (1/2.5") and DIGIC III processor. It's also got face detection (of course) and a full complement of auto and manual exposure modes, plus a 2.5" LCD screen |
Nice... Very similiar to my Fuji (but better), which has been great...
